| March 23 2008.
We have had our last meeting of the season, and all that remains is our Landowner's Appreciation Dinner on April 5. There are some tickets still available, and some might be for sale at the door, but contact me if you would like to reserve your spot. We are anticipating 50-60 people. |
| This year went a little better than the last few. We sold over sixty trail passes, donated $250 to each of the three elementary schools in our area, and it looks like we may be starting an annual tradition with our Landowner's Appreciation Dinner. I have received many nice comments, even from people who will not be able to attend. As access to property for recreation becomes more difficult each year, it is important to reach out to those who make it possible for us to enjoy our hobby. |
| We will be meeting next in September, to plan trail work in some different areas. Bring your ideas to the meeting. Remember, early-bird discounts on trail passes are available only at meetings! Hopefully, we will have another decent winter for riding. There is much to be done before the snow flies, however. |
| If anyone has any photos from this past season that they would like to see on the website, please email them to me, as we will be updating the photo section next year. We should also have some new maps. Those of us who saw the drafts were pretty impressed! |
| I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who was involved with the club this year. What we do often involves quite a bit of work, and everyone who helps out is a volunteer, with lives, families, and other time committments. Special thanks to Louanne Soos, Club Secretary, without whom I would not be able to keep things running smoothly. I will see some of you at the Dinner, and for those of you that can't be there, have happy, healthy, and safe "dirt" season. See you in September!
